Women's Connection meeting set for today

Women's Connection will meet at 6:30 p.m. today at Leslie Essner's home, 3311 Ridge Road, just past Bent Creek Golf Course in Jackson. The special feature will be fall/Christmas floral arranging by Shirley from Creation-Flowers and Gifts in Marble Hill, Mo. Poker run to benefit diabetes association

Registration will be at 11 a.m. Sunday for a poker run to benefit the American Diabetes Association. Start and finish are at Minor's Harley-Davidson in Scott City. All motorized vehicles are welcome. Last out at noon; last in at 4 p.m. The event will feature door prizes, music by the River Rats, a 50/50 drawing, food and drink. Black Forest Village offers ghost town tour

A ghost town tour for families and groups will be held from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. Oct. 20, 21, 27, 28, 30 and 31 at Black Forest Village, four miles north of Cape Girardeau on County Road 638. For more information, call 335-0899.
