The topic, "Hey, is anyone listening?" will address poor and good communication and the results of both. The workshop will include information concerning substance abuse prevention, improving communication skills with friends, parents and teachers, as well as ways to say no and still keep one's friends.

Presenting the workshop will be Gary Lowe of Warrensburg, project manager for Community Team Training for Substance Abuse Prevention with the Missouri Division of Highway Safety, and Larramie Crumpley, youth minister with Grandview Assembly of God. Several teen-agers from the Kansas City area will relate how their lives have turned around after dealing with substance abuse.
