SIKESTON, Mo. -- The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission has awarded a contract to install guardrail on Interstate 55 in Scott County. The $93,362 contract was awarded to Freedom Fence LLC of Belgrade, Mo. SIKESTON, Mo. -- The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission has awarded a contract to install guardrail on Interstate 55 in Scott County. The $93,362 contract was awarded to Freedom Fence LLC of Belgrade, Mo. Work could begin as early as November and must be completed by March. As work progresses, there will be one-lane closures. Installation of the guardrail will take about 14 days. More information will be released before work to alert drivers of traffic changes. Work zones will be marked with signs as the improvements are being made. Drivers are urged to plan for possible delays.
