Live comedy returns to Cape Girardeau Saturday night when Jeff Batts, J. Fred Gemoets and Patrick Keating entertain at the River City Yacht Club in the Port Cape Girardeau Restaurant.
Batts, who lives in Benton, Ill., has performed at comedy clubs across the South, including The Punchline in Greenville, S.C., and Cartoon's Comedy in Daytona Beach. In the past year he has shared bills with Jimmy "JJ" Walker and Gallagher.
Gemoets hails from Houston, and has been seen on TV's "Amerca's Funniest People" and "Comedy Central." He plays the guitar, and teams up with Batts in a musical finale.
Keating lives in St. Louis, and recently worked the Improv in Atlanta.
"It's going to be a good, different show people haven't seen," Batts said. "It will be different from what you see on TV."
The dinner show will begin with dinner at 7 p.m. followed by the show at 8 p.m. The late show will begin at 10:30 p.m.
The cost of the dinner show is $15.95. The comedy show only is $5.
