SIKESTON -- Clyde J. Boyd, 74, of Sikeston, died Tuesday, April 30, 1991, at the Veterans' Administration Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
He was born March 3, 1917, in Chattanooga, Tenn. to Albert L. and Viola Black Boyd.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and was the owner of an upholstery business. He was a member of the North Acres General Baptist Church in Sikeston.
On Oct. 7, 1939 in Benton, he married Gladys A. Vangilder. She survives.
Other survivors are one son, Ronald C. Boyd of Moore, Okla.; two brothers, Haskell L. Boyd of Escondido, Calif. and Leslie Boyd of Eugene Ore.; two sisters, Betty Lloyd and Pat Howard, both of California; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the chapel with the Rev. Nathan Greene, pastor of North Acres General Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
