The Xi Nu Phi Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi met May 6 at the home of Linda Biri.
It was announced that Cathy Pancoast was named the chapter's "Woman of the Year" at the Founder's Day Banquet April 24 at St. Andrew Fellowship Hall. Bonnie Perdue was recognized for her 60-year membership in Beta Sigma Phi.
Scrapbook items were turned in to Sandy Ross.
Secret pal gifts were distributed.
Installation of officers was held and officer pins were distributed to retiring officers.
Xi Nu Phi members met May 20 at the home of Debbie Balsano.
A thank-you card was received from Lambda Omicron Chapter for hosting its Wacky Dinner.
It has been proposed that all area chapters participate in adopting a highway or park to help keep clean.
A vote was taken and the chapter would be interested in this if there is enough participation from other chapters.
Ross reported that the scrapbook committee will meet during the summer and complete the scrapbook.
Secret pal names were revealed and gifts exchanged. New names were drawn for the 2014-2015 year.
The next meeting will be Sept. 2.
Two members of John Guild Chapter of National Society, Daughters of the American Revolution were elected to state executive board. Lorilee Petrich Short was elected and installed as state corresponding secretary. Morgan Meyr Lake was elected to the highest office in the state, state regent, and will be installed June 29 in Washington, D.C.
