Jane Clark was hostess when the Kage FCE Club met at her home for its regular monthly meeting. Kara Clark Summers was a guest. The devotional was presented by the hostess.
President Dortha Strack presided. Dortha's tip of the day was, Baking powder will remove coffee and tea stains from china, etc.
A thank-you note from Andrew Strack, the club scholarship recipient, was received and read.
A workshop was held for the county project, blankets for people with autism. Another workshop will be held next month and several members plan to attend.
Members contributed to the following: Friendships Coins, Memorial for Dorothy Herbst, mother-in-law of Judie Herbst, and Big Brother Big Sister "bowl for kids' sake."
Barbara Marshall asked for volunteers to help with the Kage Booth at the SEMO District Fair in September. Entries for the booths had to be postmarked by April 1.
Members brought items for the FISH Food Pantry for the March service project and were reminded to bring dolls for Child Advocacy Day to the next meeting. The dolls will be taken to Jefferson City on April 26. Information sheets on upcoming FCE tours were circulated.
Strack announced that the National FCE Conference will be held July 14 through 17 in Denver. This will be the 75th year Diamond Jubilee. Enrollment sheets are available to those interested in attending.
The FCE County Council's revised scorecard for All Clubs Day was read by Inez Statler and discussed by members.
Shirley Palen reported on the Show Me Justice games in progress. The first 15 games will be finished soon and the others will be done as soon as the Heed Grant Funds are received.
The program for the day, recycling plastic bags, was presented by Jane Clark.
