The Jan. 21 meeting of the Lamplighters FCE was held in the home of Gayla Volz. Karen McLane, president, called the meeting to order and lead in repeating the pledges. The hostess gave a devotional entitled, "Where is God?" and read Psalms 121:8. Sharon Bogenpohl led the group in singing the club collect and 'God Bless America.' 14 members were present.

During the business session, minutes and the treasurer's report were given and placed on file.

Members brought two Valentines each to send to the military personnel with ties in the community.

An update on and comments about the clubs "Storybook Tails" were given. Since April 2009, members have made the aprons and props for and read 26 different books to preschool through fifth-grade children in Oak Ridge R-6 and Meadow Heights school districts and at the Riverside Regional Library in Jackson.

McLane and Volz read the by-laws of the club.

A guest speaker, Jean McLane, showed products, combs and brushes that are used to keep hair healthy, shiny, and well-groomed.
