Oak Ridge FCE
The Oak Ridge FCE met at the home of Barbara Popp and held a installation ceremony for officers in the year 2006. They are, Jean Rehak, president; Marilyn Retherford, vice president; Nelda Crader, secretary; Billie Criddle, treasurer, Carole Jo Byrd, historian and Mary Dee Ford, game and song leader.
Betty Dellinger, outgoing president, presented Christmas song books from the Cashbook Journal. Secret pals for 2005 were revealed and new secret pals for 2006 were drawn.
Lee Anderson reported that she delivered $100 for the Pennies for Friendship to the FCE state treasurer in a district meeting held in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
Dellinger reported that merchandise and money had been given to a family who were reported needy after a flood at their riverside home and merchandise equaling $425 had been given to the Jackson Elks Christmas basket giveaway.
Reports were given by Retherford on literacy and that she and her grandson had put up the Christmas display at Jackson City Park.
Meb Floyd reported on and praised the club for the work done and gifts given to the Adopted Family Project.
Volunteers will continue working next year at Jackson Manor and the Missouri Veterans Home bingo.
Thank you letters were read from SEMO NASV, Jackson Manor and the Gregory family.
Program booklets were collected and will be used to attach the FCE 2006 programs.
Rehak, Criddle and Anderson will attend Leader Training meetings to be conducted by the county on March 20 at the University of Missouri County Extension Center.
