Wonderworkers FCE Club
Nelda Starzinger was hostess for the October meeting of Wonderworkers FCE. "God's Grace in Our Lives" was read as the devotional.
Members will observe FCE Week by attending worship services at Zion Lutheran Church in Altenburg, Mo.
Plans were discussed for baked items for the breakfast at the Fall District Meeting held Oct. 24 at the Cape Girardeau County Extension Center in Jackson.
Members selected the training sessions they wished to attend at Immanuel Lutheran Church Hall in Altenburg on Nov. 8.
It was decided to bring cookies and other treats for the VIP Industries to the next meeting, which will be Nov. 14 at the home of Margie E. Reisenbichler.
Reisenbichler presented the program "Fresh Holiday Wreaths" by demonstration. Refreshments were served by the hostess.
Nancy Hunter Chapter DAR
The club met at the home of Edna Ruth Fischer for the Oct. 23 meeting. There were 14 members in attendance
Guest speaker was Thelma Stone, telling about Victorian chatelaines.
A motion was made and carried to accept four new prospective members. They are Rebecca Mary Spalding Schwartz, Suzanne Rebecca Schwartz, Emily Elizabeth Spalding and Sarah Ellen Wallace Garner.
Dorothy Points was nominated to attend the 104th State Conference as delegate. Alternates are Mary Lou Lett, Jan Chamberlain, Geneva Wiggs and Catherine Allison.
The delegates to to the NSDAR 112th Continental Congress at Constitutional Hall in Washington, D.C., are Katherine Tolson and Dorothy Points with alternates Edna Ruth Fischer, Nancy Wilson, Catherine Allison and Jennine McGinnis.
The next meeting will be held Dec. 4, at the Hirsch Room at Cape Girardeau Public Library with Christopher Micken discussing homeland security.
