Christmas for the Elderly

Ms. G, a single, 69-year-old woman, has outstanding debts due to financial exploitation. It's difficult for her to get by on $562 a month and this situation has made her situation even more challenging.

Recent surgery has compromised Ms. G's health. Contributions of any flavor Boost or Ensure would increase her chances of staying healthy during the winter months. To keep warm and make Ms. G's Christmas brighter, a coat, sweat suits, pajamas or a robe in size medium would be helpful. These and other items that could help to save on utility bills include full blankets, sheets and size 8 to 9 slippers.

Cat food, cat litter, paper products, towels and washcloths or gift certificates from Country Mart of Twin City in Marble Hill would make Ms. G's budget stretch a little further so she can enjoy the holidays.

Donations can be dropped off at the Southeast Missourian offices. Monetary donations can be mailed to P.O. Box 4, Cape Girardeau, Mo. 63702-0004.
