CLINT BLACK FORCED TO CANCEL SIU SHOW

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Clint Black has canceled his scheduled appearance tonight at Southern Illinois University Arena.

Black, stricken with a respiratory infection, was ordered by his physician to cancel the 8 p.m. appearance. The country superstar's Black & Wy Tour co-star, Wynonna, will perform as scheduled along with Jason D. Williams.

Black's physician, Dr. Randy Schnitman, said Black had been under his care since Nov. 5, for an upper respiratory track infection which, in combination with his exhaustive schedule, has resulted in laryngitis.

Ticketholders who wish to receive refunds for the show may do so at the SIU Arena box office, starting at noon Tuesday. Those who attend tonight's show may retain their ticket stubbs for a $5 discount on Black's next performance at the SIU Arena.
