The Cape Girardeau Civic Center will hold its second silent auction and wine-tasting benefit at the Holiday Inn Convention Center Saturday from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The benefit is to raise money for children's activities at the Civic Center.
Admission will be $15 per person and $25 per couple.
A silent auction will be followed by wine and cheese tastings.
Dr. Irene Ferguson, who is coordinating the event, said a voice auction will be emceed by former television meteorologist Don McNeely. There also will be a jazz trio.
Last year the silent auction raised $3,000, and Ferguson hopes to exceed that amount this year.
