Power and Light Committee
-- Approved a request of the Jackson Jaycees to hold the annual Fourth of July celebration in the City Park and authorizing a contribution of $1,000 to the annual fireworks display.
-- Passed an ordinance amending Section 20-807 relating to out-of-district sewer connection fees and special assessment fees.
Street Committee
-- Approved a special-use permit at 1320 Old Cape Road for the operation of a day care center, as submitted by Mr. Johnny Seabaugh of Good News Christian Center.
-- Tabled an ordinance amending the city Land Subdivision Regulations.
-- Authorized a request for the Jackson Merchant's Association to use the city parking lot adjacent to the Cape County Administration Building for its Merchants Appreciation Day on Sept. 27.
-- Accepted comments at a public hearing on May 5, under Chapter 88 RSMo, relative to the Gloria Street Paving Project, and confirming the tax bills as issued.
-- Passed an ordinance for final approval of minor subdivision plat of Sanders Subdivision as submitted by Randy Sander of J.J. & R. Sander Real Estate.
-- Approved an arrangement between the city and Missouri Department of Transportation to improve the Route D and Route 61 intersection.
