The 5th Annual Hershey Track and Field district meet will be held June 20 at the Abe Stuber Track and Field Complex, situated on the campus of Southeast Missouri State University.
The Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department will host the event, which begins at 9 a.m.
The meet part of a nationwide program is free to boys and girls, ages 9-14. Winners at the district meet advance to the state meet July 15 in Jefferson City.
The Parks and Recreation Department is accepting advanced registration at the A.C. Brase Arena Building. Athletes also may register at 8:30 a.m. on the day of the meet.
This year's event will include: 50, 100, 200, and 400-meter dashes; 800 and 1,600-meter runs; 4x100 meter relays and field events.
