CITY BEGINS ROADWORK ON PROJECT THAT INCLUDES BLOOMFIELD ROAD

Construction on the Bloomfield Road project has begun, forcing the road to be partially closed.

The road is closed between Siemers Drive and Silver Springs Road. The City Engineering Department is requesting that only local traffic use that portion of the roadway for the next two to three months.

The Bloomfield Road project is funded by the Transportation Trust Fund Sales Tax, which is a list of 20 road improvements that the city approved to fund by the implementation of a half-cent sales tax.

Also included in the Bloomfield Road project are improvements to Silver Springs Road from Bloomfield Road to about 580 feet south. Construction for the entire project should be complete by July, 2000.
