Robert Grant is a fourth-grader at Jefferson Elementary. Delaina Exon is in the eighth grade at Central High School. Philece Brooks is a member of the Graduating Class of 2002.
From fourth grade to eighth grade, and from eighth grade to twelfth grade, the students all have a love for school.
Robert Grant is nine years old and attends the fourth grade at Jefferson Elementary. "My favorite subject is spelling, because it's easy for me," Robert said. Robert's favorite grade has been the third grade, so far. His favorite school lunch is chicken potpie. He also enjoys the computers and technology in school.
Robert has only been attending Cape Public Schools for a short period of time. He has attended three other school districts in the past.
"I like any school with a lot of recesses," the fourth-grader said.
Delaina Exon has been going to Cape Public School since kindergarten. She is 13 years-old and in the eighth grade.
"I like the eighth grade because I get more freedom and get to hang out with my friends," Delaina said.
The CJHS student said, "My favorite subject is math, and my favorite school lunch is crispito with cheese."
The eighth-grader is excited about the new high school.
"I'm glad they're building a new high school; it won't be so crowded in the halls," Delaina said.
Philece Brooks has also attended Cape Public Schools since kindergarten, and now, at 17, she is a part of the Class of 2002.
Philece's favorite subject is math. She said it's the easiest class she has to take, along physical education.
"Physical education is one of my favorite subjects; I get hang out with my friends and stay in shape all at once," Philece said. She participates in track and field and basketball.
"My favorite grade was seventh. We had the school to ourselves, and there weren't any bigger kids to pick on us," the senior said.
Her plans are to go to a four-year college and get a medical or law degree after she graduates in May.
"I don't wish I could stick around to attend the new high school, but I'm glad for those who get to use it," Philece said.
For Philece, there are only six months left to make memories of her glorious school days; the end is right around the corner. On the other hand, for Delaina and Robert, the best just may be yet to come.
