Area kids who have yet to enjoy the thrill of a three-ring circus will have their chance next week when the Kelly-Miller Brothers Circus comes to Cape Girardeau and Charleston.

And for a preview, one of the circus clowns will visit schools in Cape Girardeau on Tuesday. The clown will entertain kids at Franklin, May Greene and Clippard schools.

In Cape Girardeau, the circus will perform two shows at Arena Park April 23 at 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. Advance tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for children and are available at Schnucks, Children's Bazaar and Guy's Big and Tall, or from any member of Parents Without Partners.

Tickets for the Charleston show, held at the Simmons Equipment lot across from the Charleston Junior High School April 24, are available from members of the Charleston Kiwanis Club, First Security State Bank, Citizen's Bank, Country Computers, L & S Pharmacy and Brink Insurance.

Tickets on the day of the shows will be $7 and $4.

Proceeds from the Cape circus will benefit Parents Without Partners. Proceeds from the Charleston circus will benefit the Kiwanis Club Educational Fund, which provides scholarships to seniors at Charleston High School.
