Centenary Methodist Church and the American Red Cross will host a blood drive on Monday, Oct. 25.
It will be held at the church, 300 N. Ellis, from 4 to 7 p.m.
Blood donations are needed for surgeries, for accident victims, and for cancer and other medical treatments. Thousands of people depend daily on blood donated by the quiet heroes at community and organizational blood drives, says Jeanne Farrar.
To be eligible, potential donors must weigh at least 110 pounds, be at least 17 years old, and be in good health. Donors should bring their driver's license with them for identification.
