The Cape Girardeau High School Marching Tigers Band will compete in the annual Greater St. Louis Marching Band Festival Oct. 22 at Busch Stadium.
The contest has 48 bands competing from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Bands will compete for top awards in music, marching, general effect, percussion, drum majoring and auxiliary.
Advance tickets can be purchased at Central High. Tickets cost $6.50 for adults and $3 for children 12 and younger.
CHS band director Ron Nall said the band's fourth-place finish last year was the best ever. He is assisted by Neil Casey and Mark Ellison.
Also performing at the festival is the 180-piece Southeast Missouri State University marching band. Its performance is set for 9:30 p.m.
