Whippersnappers is observing its first anniversary this month.
"We've planned a day of activities for our birthday Saturday," said Christina Tanksley, owner of the children's retail clothing store, with sizes from infants through pre-teen to 14 boys.
Among anniversary activities will be fingerprinting by the Cape Girardeau Police Department from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.; animal balloons by Bloomin' Balloons clown from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.; and an appearance by a Cape Girardeau Fire Department truck at 2:30 p.m.
"Crash Dummy and Buckle Bear will be here all day," said Tanksley. "And, from noon to 2 p.m., we'll be serving birthday cake."
