The Southeast Missouri Music Academy's Children's Choir will perform a Christmas concert Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church.
The free event is scheduled for 7 p.m.
The 14-member choir will perform nine selections of Christmas carols from the medieval/renaissance era in England, said Stephanie Fridley, choir director. Irish harp students training in the Music Academy under Chadie Fruehwald will accompany the choir.
The choir, which includes fourth through seventh graders, will perform the concert in renaissance style costumes.
"They've done pretty well and have covered a lot of material in a short period of time," Fridley said.
The choir also will perform 10:35 a.m. Dec. 14 in the Evangelical United Church of Christ.
The Children's Choir is open to any student in the fourth through seventh grades. Registration deadline for the spring semester is Jan. 14.
