CHEF'S AUCTION BENEFITS MARCH OF DIMES

The third annual Chef's Auction Oct. 23 at the Osage Community Center will raise money for the March of Dimes.

The event begins at 6:30 p.m. with a cocktail reception and silent auction of items from businesses and restaurants like theme baskets, gift certificates and entertainment packages. After a dinner buffet, which begins at 7:30 p.m., there will be an auction of "dining experience" packages from Cape Girardeau area restaurants and caterers. The evening will end with live entertainment and dancing.

Admission is $40 per person, $75 per couple and $300 for a table. Proceeds will go to the March of Dimes Birth Defects Foundation, which supports programs of community service, advocacy, research and education to prevent birth defects and infant mortality.
