Chase ends in fatality

A police pursuit in Scott City Tuesday night has resulted in the death of a suspect, assistant Cape County coroner Jerry Goin has confirmed.

While police were chasing a rider on a yellow speed bike, the person turned off Route AB to a Rhodes Travel Center.

The motorcyclist attempted to ram a police car, but hit a truck instead, causing the motorcyclist's death, according to scanner traffic.
