Charleston man hits house with car

MATTHEWS, Mo. -- A Charleston, Missouri, man was injured after his vehicle struck a home late Sunday in New Madrid County.

At 9:40 p.m. at 3229 Highway 80, 5 miles east of Matthews, northbound motorist Jeremy J. Butler, 35, turned into a private lane and struck the residence, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Butler sustained minor injuries and was air evacuated to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
