CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Bond has been set at $200,000 for a Charleston man charged with molesting an 11-year-old girl.
The Charleston Department of Public Safety reported Friday the arrest of 30-year-old Wendell Williams. He is being held at the Mississippi County Jail on charges of first-degree statutory rape, first-degree statutory sodomy and two counts of first-degree child molestation.
According to a news release, the department received information March 16 about inappropriate behavior and contact concerning an 11-year-old girl. The investigation is continuing, officials said.
