CHARLESTON, Mo. -- A Charleston man faces charges after a SEMO Street Crimes Task Force operation Friday.
About 7:15 p.m., officers served Richard Humphrey, 39, with an arrest warrant for possession of methamphetamine. Humphrey is a resident in the 700 block of State Street.
During the arrest, a meth lab was found in a backyard shed, according to a news release from the Charleston Department of Public Safety.
Humphrey faces additional charges of manufacturing a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, the release states.
The task force is made up of officers from the Cape Girardeau Police Department, the Charleston Department of Public Safety, the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the Poplar Bluff Police Department and the Sikeston Department of Public Safety.
