KENNETT, Mo. -- A Kennett man still sought by authorities has been charged with four felony counts in connection with a shooting Friday at Jones Park in Kennett.
Uzzi Carruthers, 20, is charged with first-degree assault, armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon for allegedly shooting at Mark Jones, 30, also of Kennett.
Children were at the park when the shooting occurred, according to Kennett police. Jones was not injured in the confrontation.
Carruthers is wanted on a no-bond warrant issued by Associate Circuit Judge John Spielman. He is considered armed and dangerous.
Carruthers is on probation for tampering with a motor vehicle and possession of a controlled substance. A motion to revoke the probation had been initiated before the shooting Friday.
