CHAFFEE -- Kathryn Phillips Belvins of Chaffee has completed the process leading to certification as an OB/GYN Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner.
The certification program is designed to provide a way to recognize the nurse who has demonstrated knowledge in a specific area of clinical practice.

Belvins completed her course of study last fall from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School Women's Health Care Advanced Nurse Practitioner program in Dallas.
She is also a graduate of Baptist Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Memphis, Tenn.
Belvins is clinic supervisor for East Missouri Action Agency's Family Planning Clinic in Cape Girardeau.
