CHAFFEE - Wayne Held, a Chaffee High School student, has been selected to attend the Sophomore Pilgrimage to Jefferson City next month.
The pilgrimage will be held April 9. It exists to promote better citizenship and to provide students with a view of state government in action.
Held's classmates selected him to participate in the event. His activities include the French, Biology-Ecology, and Beta clubs. He is an honor student and has also received the General Science Award.
His parents are Ronnie and Brenda Held of Chaffee.
The General Federated Women's Club of Jackson is sponsoring Held's participation in the pilgrimage.
