CHAFFEE -- Chip Bollinger, a sophomore at Chaffee High School, has been selected as the nominee from Chaffee to the Missouri Scholars Academy.
If selected as a participant, Bollinger will attend the academy at the University of Missouri-Columbia this summer.
Students study mathematics, science, social studies and the humanities. They also participate in debate, journalism, art workshops, chorus, computer and photography clubs, theater and creative writing classes. They visit museums and attend lectures.
Bollinger participates in football, baseball, basketball, track, student council, FHA, French club, Students Against Driving Drunk, Future Business Leaders of America, Beta Club and Pep Club.
He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Bollinger of Chaffee.
