CHAFFEE -- An artist from Chaffee has won first place in a national art show held at the Margaret Harwell Art Museum in Poplar Bluff.

Earlier this month, Horrell's painting "A Farmer's Work is Never Done" won Best of Show at the Sikeston Art League 8th Annual Juried Show, open to artists within 100 miles of Sikeston.

Horrell, who is a farmer, lives in Chaffee with his wife and four children. He is a self-taught artist.
