CHAFFEE - The Chaffee City Council will hold a special meeting and public hearing March 30 for adoption of the city's coming fiscal year budget.
The meeting, to begin at 7 p.m., was announced at the council's regular meeting Monday. The city's fiscal year begins April 1.
Also at Monday's meeting, the council endorsed the local Veterans of Foreign Wars post's effort to obtain a liquor-by-the-drink license from the state. Mayor Ron Moyers said the post is in the process of getting a license.
Moyers Monday referred an application for a special use permit for the Wicker Family Bait Shop, 332 West Parker, to the appropriate ward council members. The shop must get its special use permit renewed every five years, Moyers said.
Council members Monday retreated to a closed session for discussion of real estate.
