Candidates may file at City Hall during regular business hours until 5 p.m. Jan. 31.

The Chaffee City Council set the dates this week during a meeting at which it also approved appointment of Wade Sanders as the new building inspector. He is familiar with building codes, Moyers told the council.

Sanders will replace Norman Gribler, who submitted his resignation.

The council also approved a building permit for MFA to build a fertilizer plant at the industrial park. The estimated building cost is $517,000.
