Steve Ketelsen, who has been with Wood and Huston Bank since 1991, has resigned as president and chief executive officer.
Ketelsen joined the bank at 111 S. Broadview as vice president in charge of consumer lending and was named president March 1996.
Ketelsen has worked in banking for more than 25 years, coming to Cape Girardeau from Archie State Bank of Harrisonville, where he served as a vice president and senior loan officer. The Anamosa, Iowa, native graduated from the University of Iowa. Don Brown, president of Wood & Huston Bank at Marshall, home office of four Wood & Huston banking facilities, is in Cape Girardeau to oversee operations until a new president is selected."There was nothing confrontational in Ketelsen's departure," said Brown. "He decided to make a career change."Kettelsen's position is expected to be filled within 30 days. Ketelsen is the second Wood & Houston employee to leave in the past month. Willard Cohen of Cape Girardeau resigned as a senior vice president and lending officer recently. Cohen joined Wood & Huston in January 1998.
