A Caruthersville, Mo., man entered a guilty plea in federal court on charges of possession of child pornography, the Standard Democrat reported. Justin Linsman, 32, pleaded guilty to one felony count of possession of child pornography before U.S. District Judge Stephen N. Limbaugh Jr. Linsman now faces a maximum sentence of 10 years' imprisonment and a $250,000 fine, followed by a period of supervised release of life. Sentencing is set for Dec. 19 in Cape Girardeau.
With his plea, Linsman admitted that on March 1, 2009, law enforcement officers executed a search warrant at his residence in Pemiscot County and that as a result of the search, the officers seized his computer equipment, which was found to contain images depicting children engaged in sexually explicit conduct, including more than 80 video files and nearly 14,000 still image files. Linsman admitted he had collected all of the images.
