CARUTHERSVILLE, Mo. -- A 43-year-old rural Caruthersville man is being held on a $200,000 bond accused by Pemiscot County authorities of deviate sexual acts involving a child.
Sheriff Tommy Greenwell said Robert James Brown was arrested Saturday and is charged with statutory sodomy and child molestation.
The charges were filed after sheriff's department investigators and Missouri Children's Division learned of allegations involving Brown and a child, Greenwell said in a written release.
Brown is to appear Thursday in court, where he is expected to be arraigned.
