Missouri Gov. Mel Carnahan; C. Britt Beemer, chairman of America's Research Group; and Daryl Hobbs, director of the University of Missouri Office of Social and Economic Data Analysis, will be speakers for the annual Business Conference to be held at the Show Me Center Wednesday.
Hobbs will address the opening session at 8 a.m. He will speak on "The Changing Consumer Profile in the Cape Marketing Area."
Beemer will discuss merchandising in the 1990s during a 9:45 a.m. session.
Carnahan will discuss his views on the future of business, industry and education in Missouri during a luncheon meeting.
Carol A. Keeler, co-anchor for KZIM Radio and host of the daily "Talk of Cape" show, will be moderator of the program.
The conference is being sponsored by the Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce's University Relations Committee and the Southeast Missouri State University College of Business Administration.
Theme of the conference is "Competition, Consumers and Change Business Survival For the '90s."
