The effect of laughter on stress reduction highlights the keynote presentation of the fifth annual Community Caring Council conference.
The conference is scheduled Feb. 18 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Show Me Center.
Keynote speaker is Marilyn Grey, an educator, school psychologist, college faculty member and author of the book "It's All In Your Head."
A panel of legislators is scheduled to discuss welfare reform.
The luncheon speaker is Shelba Branscum. A panel of Community Caring Council members will discuss "Progress in the Community."
Registration fee is $40, which includes lunch. Proceeds generated from the conference are used to develop future educational presentations to strengthen the community service network.
