The outside of a Cape Girardeau downtown business was damaged Thursday when a motorist crashed into it mid-afternoon.
According to Darin Hickey, spokesman for the Cape Girardeau Police Department, a 56-year-old woman and her 30-year-old passenger were driving across the private parking lot of 329 N. Main St. when she lost control of the vehicle and struck the building at 333 N. Main St.
The driver was transported for minor injuries, he said.
Damage to the building was minor.
