Published Dec. 1, 1982. The "elves" at Hutson's Furniture Store here have been busy for weeks getting their smaller, animated elf friends in good working order for the store's annual holiday window. The window, which was unveiled Thanksgiving Day, has become an area tradition. This year, it depicts elves busily working on the riverfront park in downtown Cape Girardeau while Santa supervises the scene, not from a sleigh pulled by eight tiny reindeer, but via helicopter.
