Nearly 200 SEMO State University students put on their dancing shoes Saturday morning for the start of the seventh annual SEMO State dance marathon at Houck Field House. The event, sponsored by the SEMO State Student Government Association, is expected to raise more than $20,000 in pledges for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. (Southeast Missourian archive)

The village was sponsored by the Town Plaza Merchants Association and was operated by Mike Redfearn of Party Palace. The village housed 35,000 pounds of pumpkins and a straw bale maze.
