Red Letter Communications will move its operations to 16 N. Spanish St. in Cape Girardeau.

The advertising agency, which employs about 50 people, is currently at 231 N. Main St.

The two-story, 13,000-square-foot building will be renovated with help from Keystone Design of Cape Girardeau. A contractor has not yet been selected.

"Red Letter has grown significantly in terms of clients, assignments and staffing," founder and CEO Jim Riley said. "We love the current location but found ourselves sitting on each others' laps. This new facility will double the available space."

The move coincides with the company's 30th anniversary.

The company hopes to move into its new location, formerly home of Stev-Mark and Cape Importers, in the spring.

"I invite other business owners to consider downtown for their next location," Riley said. "Being downtown has helped define the character of our company. I can't imagine us anywhere else."
