The winner, Viola Ruffin, 50, didn't even leave her home to buy the ticket; she gave a friend $2 for a ticket, and he bought the ticket at Bi-State Oil, 400 Morgan Oak.

Ruffin's friend took the ticket to her, and she scratched off the play area. A few minutes later Ruffin was $30,000 richer.

"I didn't and couldn't hardly believe it," Ruffin said.

Employed with Magnetic Collectibles in Cape Girardeau, Ruffin isn't sure what she will do with her newly acquired money.
