SIKESTON -- A Cape Girardeau woman was fatally injured in a three-vehicle accident near Sikeston Monday. Marjorie Miller, 73, died at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau after being transported from the accident scene by air ambulance. SIKESTON -- A Cape Girardeau woman was fatally injured in a three-vehicle accident near Sikeston Monday.

Marjorie Miller, 73, died at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau after being transported from the accident scene by air ambulance.

A Murray, Ky., couple were transported to Dexter Memorial Hospital following the crash. Norman Clark, 80, suffered serious injuries, while his wife, Lola, 77, received moderate injuries.

Margaret Smith, 43, of Sikeston also was involved in the crash. She was not injured.

The accident occurred on U.S. Highway 60 about nine miles west of Sikeston, the Missouri Highway Patrol said.

Miller, heading eastbound, attempted to pass several vehicles when she struck the Clark and Smith cars, which were headed west.

Miller wasn't wearing a seat belt, the patrol said. The Clarks and Smith were wearing their seat belts.
