At a special meeting Friday afternoon, members of the Cape Girardeau School Board chose new officers, now that the April 5 election is past.
Jeff Glenn, who received more than 40 percent of the vote to begin his second term, became board president. He previously served as vice president.
Adrian Toole, who received only 31 fewer votes than Glenn at 1,542, became vice president of the school board. He also begins his second term.
The board’s secretary is Beth Poyner, assistant to superintendent Jim Welker. Immediate-past board president Kyle McDonald volunteered to serve as the board’s legislative delegate. Board member Don Call is the body’s delegate to the Missouri School Board Association.
