CAPE RESIDENTS HURTIN ACCIDENT

Two Cape Girardeau residents sustained moderate injuries Thursday morning when their vehicles collided on County Road 621, one mile north of Cape Girardeau.

Robert Reed, 41, and Ashley Michael, 17, were the drivers in the 7 a.m. accident. Reed was taken to St. Francis Medical Center, Michael to Southeast Missouri Hospital.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, the accident occurred when Michael lost control of her vehicle, crossed the center line and struck Reed's vehicle. Michael was issued a summons for failure to drive on the right half of the roadway.
