Cape Girardeau police responded to two reports of shots fired over the weekend.
At 11:58 p.m. Friday, officers from the Cape Girardeau Police Department responded to the area of Spanish and William Street after receiving information shots were fired from a vehicle.
No damaged houses or cars were found, according to Sgt. Jason Selzer of the Cape Girardeau Police Department, and police do not know what or who was being shot at. Selzer said no injuries were reported.
At 3:15 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to a report of shots fired near the McDonald's at 1925 Broadway.
Officers were seen walking around the 2000 block of Woodlawn Avenue shortly after the report was called in, and more police vehicles were parked on Forest Avenue just off Broadway.
Selzer said Saturday that officers still were trying to determine whether shots actually were fired. No injuries were reported, and no suspects are in custody.
