CAPE PARKS & RECREATION TO HAVE WOMEN'S BASKETBALL LEAGUE

The Cape Girardeau Parks & Recreation Department will be sponsoring its 1999 Women's Basketball League which will begin January 6. Weekly games in the league will help provide fitness, fun and some good competition. One game is to be scheduled each week for a total of 10 regular season games.

This year the league will offer one division of play. Games will be played at Centenary Methodist Church on Wednesday nights.

Entry fee for the league will be $192 per team. The format will depend on the number of teams that enter, but will tentatively play 10 regular season games and there would be a play-off at the end of regular play. The top four teams will qualify for the play-offs.
