Cape man injured in accident Sunday morning

A Cape Girardeau man was injured in a single-vehicle accident Sunday.

Peter T. Ansberry, 21, was driving a 2005 Nissan Sentra, failed to negotiate a curve, ran off the left side of the road and struck a tree, a Missouri State Highway Patrol report said. The accident occurred at 2 a.m. on County Road 621, two miles north of Cape Girardeau, the report said.

Ansberry was transported to Saint Francis Medical Center, according to the report.
